Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 15th, 2025

Welcome to Rice Works. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Individual project details will be governed by the signed agreement provided for each client.

1. Services

Rice Works provides creative services including branding, website design, and related digital deliverables as outlined in each project agreement. Additional work beyond the initial scope — such as extra pages, revisions, or technical support — may incur additional fees.

2. Payment Terms

Project timelines and payment terms are outlined in your signed agreement. A deposit or full payment may be required upfront to reserve your project slot. If neither is required upfront, full payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

Additional work beyond the original scope will be invoiced biweekly and is due within 10 days of receipt. Accepted payment methods include Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check.

3. Revisions

Unless otherwise stated in your agreement, projects include one (1) round of revisions. Additional revisions may be billed at the Designer’s hourly or flat-rate add-on pricing. We’ll notify you before any extra charges are incurred.

4. Project Pauses

If feedback or materials from the Client are delayed for more than 10 business days, the project may be paused. If a project remains inactive for 30 days or more, a rebooking fee may apply to resume work.

5. Late Payments

Invoices not paid within 10 days of issuance may be subject to a 25% late fee, as outlined in your contract. Rice Works reserves the right to pause or terminate work due to continued non-payment.

6. Ownership

Final deliverables become the Client’s property upon full payment. Rice Works retains the right to showcase completed work in its portfolio, website, social media, and promotional materials.

7. Legal & Compliance

Rice Works may provide starter versions of legal documents like Privacy Policies, Terms & Conditions, or Accessibility Statements. These are informational templates and do not constitute legal advice. While Rice Works supports inclusive web design practices, full WCAG compliance audits or certification are not included. Clients are responsible for customizing and ensuring compliance. We recommend consulting a licensed attorney if needed.

8. Disclaimer

Rice Works provides branding and design services only. We do not guarantee specific outcomes such as increased traffic, sales, or SEO performance. All services are delivered “as is.”

9. Changes

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of our website or services indicates acceptance of the most current version.

Please note that individual project terms, including deliverables, timelines, revision limits, and payment schedules, are outlined in each client’s signed service agreement. These terms may vary by project.
